Terms of use
Last updated: October 2026
These are the ground rules for using Whether. We wrote them to be short and readable. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Using Whether
By creating an account or using Whether, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If that is not okay with you, please do not use the service.
2. Who it is for
Whether is for game developers who want feedback on their pitch, and for publishers who want to receive and review pitch decks. If you use it for a company, you confirm you are allowed to do that on the company's behalf.
3. Beta
Whether is still in beta. Features can change, break, or go away, and we may sometimes limit usage. If someone abuses the service, we may suspend their account.
4. Your content stays yours
Decks, notes and anything else you upload or forward to us belong to you. You give us permission to process them only to run the features you asked for, like scoring a deck against a publisher's criteria or building a summary. Please only upload things you have the right to share.
5. Who sees your content
If you are a developer, your deck is only visible to you. We do not share it with anyone. If you are a publisher, decks sent to your Whether address are visible to you and your team. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your uploads to train public AI models. Content is stored encrypted. To run the analysis it is sent to our AI provider over a secure connection. Our team may access data when needed to run the service, fix a problem, or comply with the law. More detail is in the privacy policy.
6. Deleting your content
You can delete a deck at any time. We then remove the deck, its files and its related chats, share links and feedback right away. You can also delete your whole account in Settings. That removes your decks and files, chats, share links, publisher profile and team links, and your login.
Some things stay. We keep purchase and credit records for accounting and legal reasons. We also keep the market data we derive from decks, such as genre, tags, budget and team figures, which feeds our market insights. It does not contain your files or chat text, but it is still linked to an internal account id, so it is not fully anonymous. Routine backups can take a little longer to clear.
7. For publishers
Decks sent to your Whether address are scored against the criteria you set. Scores are a quick guide to help you sort, not a promise or a decision. You always make the call.
8. Credits and payments
Some features use credits. You can buy credit packs, and an external payment provider handles the payment, so we never see or store your card details. Credits are not refundable. If you think something went wrong, for example a charge or a deducted credit that looks like a mistake, contact us and we will look into it.
9. Scores and reports are a guide
Reports and scores are research aids, not legal, financial or publishing advice. They can be wrong. You are responsible for decisions you make based on them.
10. Fair use
Please do not misuse the service, try to break it, scrape it, or upload anything illegal or that you do not have rights to.
11. No guarantees
We do our best, but Whether is provided “as is”. We cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost data or indirect damages from using it.
12. Changes
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we will let you know, for example by email or in the app. Continuing to use Whether means you accept the new version.
13. Governing law
We are based in Berlin, Germany, and German law applies.
